Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu: The incidence of cervical cancer continues to increase

Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu shared on LinkedIn:

“The incidence of cervical cancer continues to increase, with the global south bearing 80% of the mortality. This can change with partnerships and collaboration. Jhpiego and the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) have been on this journey and I look forward to their upcoming webinar, tomorrow, the 13th of June, at 4 pm CEST (3 pm WAT).

After our panel at last WCLS23, I caught up with Somesh Kumar, Jhpiego Senior Director at this year’s Global Health Catalysts Summit where he shared their work in this regard as well as the economic benefits of integrating breast and cervical screening into existing family planning and HIV clinics in Nigeria (including Sir Yahaya Hospital Kebbi), which is one of the beneficiary countries.

Please Register here.”
