ASCO, the biggest cancer conference in the world has chosen the theme ‘Partnering with Patients
In a post by Trishna Bharadia, it says, “ASCO, the biggest cancer conference in the world has chosen the theme ‘Partnering with Patients.’ The program will feature over 200 sessions that will complement the patient-focused theme, as well as a talk by ASCO President Eric P Winer, MD that will explore strategies to help patients and patient organisations influence research.
“The biggest cancer conference in the world is back in full swing this year. The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) 2023 will continue to broadcast virtually, but the conference has largely shifted back to in-person attendance.
By mid-May, 40,000 people had registered for in-person attendance — similar to prepandemic levels, Julie R. Gralow, MD, told Medscape Medical News.”
That’s 40,000 people in person and even more online who will be discussing and hearing about partnering with patients. Please can other medical congresses follow suit?! Really looking forward to seeing what comes out of the event!”
