This prestigious award has been given to eight U.S. presidents and countless dignitaries that represent the breadth of immense talent and inspirational leaders that America has produced during her history. This is one of those times in my life, when I am truly grateful for the opportunities I have been given at Baptist Health and throughout my life, and I stand on the shoulders of so many who have come before me. As I accepted this honor, I couldn’t help but reflect on the profound significance of Ellis Island, a symbol of hope and opportunity for millions.
