Sweta Agarwal: I had the honor to represent The Max Foundation and Nepal, at the International Kidney Cancer Coalition (IKCC) Conference

“I had the honor last month to represent The Max Foundation and my country, Nepal, at the International Kidney Cancer Coalition (IKCC) Conference in South Korea.
Topics ranged from knowledge on the disease’s pathology to Artificial Intelligence (AI), patient navigation, and stress management.
Gleaning from diverse, global perspectives and experiences, I enjoyed engaging with delegates from India, Korea, Singapore, Brazil, Philippines, Malaysia, Australia, UK, and the USA, each bringing their unique insights and approaches to kidney cancer care.
One of my key takeaways will be incorporating fresh ideas during our Focus Group Meeting at Patan Hospital with our kidney cancer patients in June, centered around the topic of ‘Listening.’
The conference was more than an event; it was a gathering of passionate individuals committed to making a difference in the field of oncology. I am sincerely grateful to Mei Ching, Alicia Annamalay, Viji Venkatesh, Dipanwita Maiti, and Sudha Samineni for this opportunity, along with their unwavering support and guidance. I left feeling rejuvenated with fresh ideas, new contacts, and meaningful connections.
Here’s to collaborating for the absolute best care of the active kidney cancer patient community in Nepal, and beyond.”
