“The ASCO Advocacy Summit is an amazing 2-day experience where we get to meet our legislators but the truth is advocacy happens all year long.
Many of us use the ASCO Advocacy Toolkit frequently and stay involved.
- Donate to the ASCO PAC (there’s a contribution level for trainees!)
- Use the ACT Network to send your local representatives emails regarding important legislative issues.
- Meet with your local lawmakers! My rec: get involved early as a trainee or early career oncologist and learn from wonderful colleagues who are seasoned veterans at the summit. They make it look easy but it’s a skill that gets better each time.”
