Happy 102nd birthday to Sir Anthony Epstein. The virus he discovered with Yvonne Barr and Bert Achong in 1964 continues to surprise us! Most recently implicated in multiple sclerosis and long covid, Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) also plays a role in the development of some lymphomas and carcinomas. Exciting times with new approaches to targeting EBV for the treatment of these diseases. –Lawrence Young
