“Anita Gyawali – Ganesh Gyawali Health Research Award Recipient, 2025 Best Oncology Research Award Recipient, 2025
This is the recognition I received on my research which has been accepted as an abstract presentation at the prestigious European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress 2025 in Berlin, Germany, on 2nd Sept, 2025 at Blood and Multispeciality hospital for which my heartfelt gratitude goes to Prof. Dr. Bishesh Poudyal sir, Dr. Bishal Gyawali sir, Ganesh Gyawali sir, and Anita Gyawali ma’am. I am deeply humbled and beyond grateful for your recognition and support. With this award, I carry not just an honor, but a responsibility to give my best in all that I can and create an impact that truly justifies the faith you’ve placed in me.
I am also thankful to my friends who have stood by me throughout this journey. Above all, I dedicate this auspicious moment to my parents and my sister, whose unconditional love and support in every possible way have shaped my path.

“Establishing a prize in the honor of my parents, the Anita Gyawali-Ganesh Gyawali Health Research Award, to motivate young trainees in Nepal to pursue health research has been one of the biggest honors of my life.
This year, we are delighted to present the Anita Gyawali-Ganesh Gyawali Health Research award to Nitesh Kumar Karna , a 3rd-year medical student from BPKIHS, whose research has been accepted as an oral abstract at the prestigious European Society of Oncology (ESMO) Meeting 2025 in Berlin.
The award was presented by my parents Anita Gyawali and Ganesh Gyawali on Sep 2, 2025 during a ceremony at Blood and Multispecialty Hospital, Kathmandu.
