Philippe Aftimos: Presenting the PRECISION Program at the Sciensano Conference
Philippe Aftimos, Director of the Innovative Therapies Clinic at Jules Bordet Institute, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Starting the week with a conference at Sciensano with many stakeholders involved in the field of genomics. Discussions will include perspectives on future directions and data governance.
I will be presenting the PRECISION program led by the Belgian Society of Medical Oncology. PRECISION has provided CGP to a large number of patients with metastatic cancer, has allowed the initiation of genomic-driven basket studies, resulted in the creation of a national Molecular Tumor Board fostering widespread collaboration, and has created a national clinico-genomic database.
Perspectives include the reinforcement of CGP use in clinical practice, a framework for wider access to moleculary-guided therapeutic options and international collaboration.”
