The New European Standards of Care for Children with Cancer Have Been Launched – CCI Europe
Childhood Cancer International – Europe (CCI Europe) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Launched Today!
The new European Standards of Care for Children with Cancer are here.
The original 2008 Standards were a major step forward in uniting Europe around better care for children with cancer. But over a decade later, facing new evidence and changing realities for families, it was time to revise and update them. Once again, we have worked hand in hand with healthcare professionals and policymakers to ensure the updated Standards are practical, inclusive, and shaped by lived experience.
This Gold September, during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we will put the Standards in the spotlight to support their use across Europe. Because every child with cancer should have equal access to high-quality care, no matter where they live. This landmark document sets out the steps to make that vision a reality.
Use it. Share it. Make it a cornerstone in your clinical practice, policy-making, or advocacy efforts. Together, let’s close the gap in childhood cancer care.
