Marta Perachino, X, adding:

”Out now the results of our international multicenter study evaluating the safety of a subsequent pregnancy after a diagnosis of PrBC in BRCAm patients

  • 10y cumulative incidence of pregnancy 36.6%
  • no differences in DFS or OS based on subsequent pregnancy status

No major concerns regarding maternal or fetal outcome with 75.9% of pregnancies delivered at term (75.9%) and without major obstetrical or fetal complications

Important evidence to support our daily counseling of young BRCA carriers diagnosed during pregnancy and still wishing to complete their family plans

Many thanks to the amazing team that made this international effort possible”
