Larissa Nekhlyudov Celebrates Leadership of Emily Smith Tonorezos and Michelle Mollica in Cancer Survivorship
Larissa Nekhlyudov, Professor of Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, shared on LinkedIn:
“A primary care physician and an oncology nurse!
Emily Smith Tonorezos and Michelle Mollica, achieved so much and their leadership of the NCI Office of Cancer Survivorship has truly moved the field forward!!
Just a few initiatives:
- developed standards for SurvOnc care
- raised awareness about advanced/metastatic survivorship
- launched INSPiRE, a primary care survivorship network
- ran a successful Director’s Series webinar
- expanded hashtag#SurvOnc research in primary care settings
And so much more!
As they depart the OCS, it is more important than ever for the entire survivorship community to stay focused on the national agenda!
We have waited far too long for meaningful progress – now we need to build on these achievements and make sure we keep the momentum going!”
