Norman Ng: Cancer Diagnosis is a Major Challenge in Life, but It is Not the End
Norman Ng, Director of Patient Advocacy and Public Affairs at Healthcare Thinkers, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Ke Weilin’s story reminds me of my own experience and makes us more determined to speak up for lung cancer patients. Diagnosis is undoubtedly a major challenge in life, but it is not the end; Through modern medicine, the support of family and friends, and the companionship of patient organizations, we can find the courage to live with the disease.
I hope that Ke Weilin can feel the care from the society, whether it is the professional guidance of the medical team or the warm encouragement between patients, it is the strength for us to move forward. I also encourage everyone to get into the habit of regular check-ups, especially those over 40, to have annual physical check-ups, including lung screening. Early detection can lead to more treatment options and a more fulfilling life.”
