Sahar Mansour: How We Approach Screening, Diagnosis and Follow-Up in Breast Cancer Through AI
Sahar Mansour, Professor of Radiology at Kasr Al-Ainy Hospital, Cairo University and Consultant of breast imaging and intervention at Baheya Charity Women’s Cancer Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“A glimpse from our recent AI workshop moderated in collaboration with FUJIFILM Healthcare Middle East and Africa, to define how we approach screening, diagnosis, risk prediction, and follow-up in breast cancer through AI.
We explored:
- The clinical interpretation of mammograms using AI platforms
- Strategies to understand, design, and validate AI across diverse domains
- How to choose appropriate validation models and case volumes based on the intended clinical use.
Grateful for the seamless execution and the unwavering support from Fujifilm, Atsushi Tateishi and Rabeh Mansour, you made it truly easy.
A special appreciation to Global Technology Team, especially Eng. Samy Sabry and Eng. Mohamed Saad, for providing the equipment and diligently overseeing the technical flow of the day.
And a very special thank-you to Dr. Dina Hamdy, although attending as a participant, her collaboration and organizational spirit were invaluable and deeply appreciated.
We’re ready to embrace innovation. Onward to a smarter, more responsive future in breast imaging!”
