“I am excited to announce new growth in the Department of Cancer Biology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Drs. Frank McKeon and Wa Xian will join us as Professors of Cancer Biology and will expand the departmental footprint into our new Charlotte medical school campus and the Pearl Innovation District.
Their recruitment represents an important step for the department, the school, and the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center. Experts in cancer research, stemcells, and regenerativemedicine, together they will nucleate further growth in therapeutic development and the ability to target cancer stem cells and resistant disease.
I am looking forward to new collaborations and their contributions to the department and school.”
