Kenji López-Cuevas: Productive Meeting on AI for Healthcare with Mexico’s Health Ministry
Kenji López-Cuevas, Treasurer at Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Today, Wednesday, we held a productive working meeting with Mexico’s Secretary of Health, Dr. David Kershenobich Stalnikowitz, and Alejandra Alegría Arrieta, Head of the Coordinating Unit for Liaison of this federal Ministry of Health of the Government of Mexico.
Among the key matters we presented for joint collaboration is the effective use of an artificial intelligence platform to calculate the healthcare costs of various diseases across the country. This is made possible thanks to the partnership we maintain with the World Health Organization and Forecast Health, a health tech company based in Australia.
On a personal note, I am grateful for the kindness and openness of Dr. Kershenobich, with whom this channel of communication grows stronger every day, translating into trust in the work we are doing, the work to come, and the unwavering commitment to serve the people of our country.
‘Deciding with evidence means promoting decision-making with intelligence.'”
