26 Miles a Day with a Prosthetic Leg to Raise Money for Cancer Research – The ICR
The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“TWO MONTHS TO GOOO.
We’re counting down the days before we kick off the Terry Fox Run UK on Sunday 14 September.
45 years ago, Canadian hero Terry Fox began his Marathon of Hope across Canada. Starting at Canada’s easternmost coast, after having cancer treatment that required his leg to be amputated, Terry ran 26 miles a day with a prosthetic leg to raise money for cancer research.
We’re honoured that the funds raised will support our life-saving research led by our dedicated scientists and researchers.
Whether you choose to run, walk, cycle or show up and spread some cheer, we’d love to have you with us.
Sign up and help fund vital cancer research.”
