Yan Leyfman, Co-founder and Executive Director of MedNews Week, shared a post on X:

“Can a digital integrative medicine program reduce cancer-related fatigue?
A randomized trial of 200 patients with solid tumors led by Dr. Jun Mao of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center tested IM@Home, a 12-week digital program combining exercise and mindfulness, versus enhanced usual care.
Key results:
  • Greater fatigue reduction (1.99 vs. 1.51 points; p=0.04)
  • Lower symptom distress (p=0.003), anxiety (p=0.03), and depression (p=0.02)
  • Reduced ER visits (rate ratio 0.49; p=0.04), hospitalizations (4% vs. 12.9%; p=0.03), and hospital stay duration (4.25 vs. 10 days; p<0.001).”
