David Fajgenbaum: Even in our darkest hours, there’s potential for incredible triumph
David Fajgenbaum, Physician-scientist at the University of Pennsylvania, shared a post on X/Twitter:
“When I was dying in the ICU, I remember looking out a window reflecting on my life and thinking about the things that I wasn’t going to be able to do. I wasn’t going to be able to have a family. I wasn’t going to be able to chase cures and fight back against disease. Fast forward to today, and the picture couldn’t be more different. Not only did I survive, but I’ve also lived to see those dreams take shape in ways I never thought possible. As I share my story, I hope it serves as a reminder that even in our darkest hours, there’s potential for incredible triumph and to never lose sight of your dreams, no matter how distant they may seem. ”
