“Lung cancer is a leading cause of cancer-related deaths globally and the number of cases is rising among women – especially in younger non-smokers – highlighting gaps in diagnosis, risk understanding, and equitable care.
Dr. Narjust Florez, Co-Director of the Young Lung Cancer Program, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School, highlights the growing burden of lung cancer in women, the complexity of risk factors, and the urgent need for gender-responsive approaches to screening and care in this latest interview with UICC.”
