Michelle Cespedes Has Been Appointed Interim System Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Mount Sinai

“We are pleased to announce that Dr. Michelle Cespedes has assumed the role of Interim System Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Mount Sinai Health System, effective April 1, 2025.
Dr. Cespedes is a nationally recognized leader in infectious diseases with deep expertise in HIV care, clinical research, and medical education. She has served in key roles across the health system and beyond – including as Medical Director of the Inpatient HIV Service at Mount Sinai Hospital, Clinical Research Site Leader at the Mount Sinai Comprehensive Health Clinic Downtown, and Chair of the HIV Medicine Association of IDSA Executive Board.
We also extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Judith Aberg for her years of extraordinary leadership and service. Her contributions to Mount Sinai and the field of infectious diseases have left a lasting impact.”
