“What a proud and inspiring moment! Huge congratulations to Prof. Bola Owolabi on being awarded a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the King’s Birthday Honours.
This honour is a fitting recognition of her exceptional leadership and tireless dedication to tackling health inequalities across the NHS and beyond.
From her work shaping policy to her advocacy for more equitable healthcare systems, Professor Owolabi has remained steadfast in centering those who are often overlooked. Her commitment to inclusion, access, and fairness has made a real and lasting difference in how we think about population health especially for underserved communities.
