Alba Fiorentino Shared Clinical Case of Glioblastoma Multiforme Treatment and Follow-Up MRI Results
Alba Fiorentino, Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at LUM University of Medicine, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“A 56-year-old man has a brain mass located in the splenium of the corpus callosum, measuring 28.4 mm (left-to-right) x 45.8 mm (anterior-to-posterior) x 26.7 mm (superior-to-inferior). A biopsy revealed a diagnosis of Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) with 38% MGMT methylation.
He underwent radiation therapy (RT) consisting of 52.5 Gy to 40.5 Gy in 15 fractions, along with Temozolomide. (J Pers Med. 2021 Nov 4;11(11):1145.)
Here are the results of the first MRI taken 45 days later.
Thanks to our multidisciplinary SNC group and to Ilaria Bonaparte, Sabrina Vigorito, Valerio Davì, Fiorella Di Guglielmo And all Miulli.art.”
