Tezer Kutluk Led Data-Focused Session at POEM Group’s 4th Scientific Meeting in Amman
Tezer Kutluk, Chair of the Scientific Board at Medicana Health Group, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“We have successfully concluded the 4th Scientific Meeting of the POEM Group in Amman, Jordan. I had the privilege of moderating the session on ‘Leveraging Data Analysis and Metrics for Pediatric Oncology Improvement in the POEM Region.’
During the session, we engaged in a productive discussion covering various critical topics, including the role of pediatric cancer registries, clinical trials, data quality, and the barriers and challenges in advancing pediatric cancer control both across the region and globally.
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the POEM organizers, the dedicated team at King Hussein Cancer Center for their warm hospitality, the regional experts, and our colleagues from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for their valuable contributions.
Since its establishment in 2013, I have taken on roles in the founding and management of POEM, a multinational pediatric oncology association. We were in Amman for the association’s 4th Scientific Meeting. I moderated a panel where we discussed the use and analysis of data to improve treatment outcomes in childhood cancers.
We shared information and experiences about childhood cancer with participants from more than 20 countries. I hope we can provide a better future for all children with cancer around the world. I thank everyone who contributed.”
