National Cancer Institute of Kenya shared a post on X:
“Day 2 Summary – Strategic Dialogue on the Implementation of the National Cancer Control Strategy
Lake Naivasha Resort | April 25, 2025The second day of the Strategic Dialogue on the Implementation of the National Cancer Control Strategy (NCCS 2023–2027) commenced with a focused continuation of technical deliberations in breakout sessions. Each working group, aligned to one of the five strategic pillars of the NCCS, conducted in-depth reviews of progress made toward achieving the strategic objectives set out in the national framework.
Throughout the morning, participants engaged in detailed assessments of accomplishments to date, identified existing gaps, and explored innovative approaches to scale and sustain impact. Discussions were guided by national targets, partner contributions, and emerging trends in cancer care delivery.
Following the breakout sessions, the working groups reconvened in plenary to present their findings to the broader assembly. Presentations highlighted both progress and persistent challenges, sparking constructive dialogue on policy, financing, capacity-building, and partnership opportunities.
The atmosphere remained highly collaborative and solutions-oriented, as stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cancer control efforts across all levels of the health system.”
