Kingsley Ndoh: The tools clinicians need aren’t five years away – we’re testing them now
Kingsley Ndoh, Founder and CEO at Hurone AI, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Bill Gates is naming a gap that I recognized years ago – there’s a big shortage of cancer doctors, and it’s on a path to get worse. In many US communities, a single oncologist may be managing hundreds of patients without the tools or support to match the care standards of NCI-designated academic cancer centers.
Before I started Hurone AI, I came from several facets of seeing this problem including from the provider side. I know what it feels like to make to confident treatment decision fully involving patients and their families, juggling toxicities, documentation, and treatment trade-offs.
Clinicians are doing extraordinary work under pressure. Imagine what they could do if we alleviated even a fraction of that pressure?
In all health areas- but even more so in areas as complex as cancer where every treatment decision is governed by multimodal data and constantly evolving treatment guidelines and research, every tool in the tool belt – every bit of clarity, speed, evidence and support- can make all the difference for a patient’s outcome.
The tools clinicians need aren’t five years away. We’re testing them now – side-by-side with care teams in some of the world’s leading cancer centers so they answer real clinician needs- integrate with real workflows. Our co-pilot significantly reduces cognitive load, strengthen decision-making, and will help reduce the gap Bill Gates is naming.
If you’re curious – or skeptical – about what AI can actually do in cancer care, let’s connect. I’d love to show you our current capabilities and results.”
