JJ Singleton: From ambassador to advocate – Fight CRC made it possible
JJ Singleton, Cancer Survivor, Advocate and Ambassador at Fight Colorectal Cancer, shared a post on X:
“Cancer definitely brings a lot of hardship, pain, loss and negatives, but as I’ve said, there are positives and especially when I talk about groups and organizations. Today is a special organization that has played a pivotal role in changing my life.
I’m going try to say how amazing and life-changing you all have been.
An organization filled with incredible people from the very top to the newest intern and everyone who has come and gone over the years, a community of amazing patients, survivors caregivers that never fail to support and inspire me.
From the vet beginning when I got picked to be an ambassador back in 2021 and officially met everyone in Springfield to the past 4 years of call on Congress and climb for a cure to coming to visit Springfield multiple other times, to representing y’all at conferences, and on committees to y’all trusting me to share my story and my life while representing the organization.
To me, winning the 2023 Mike Mancini Hero award and I could go on about events and moments I never thought possible in my life.
My advocacy life started with you all. I can never say thank you or quite singing y’all’s praise. I know I am far from the only one whose life with cancer is so much better due to finding Fight CRC.”
