“Last week at, “Her Story Awards Africa“, I was ecstatic to receive the Outstanding Philanthropist Award. Ably represented by our incredible COO, Mrs Nkiruka Nwankwo, it was a night of celebrating womanhood from all perspectives at the iconic Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos.
This recognition: Extraordinary Women and Their Allies, is a testament to the relentless work we do at MEDICAID CANCER FOUNDATION and Medicaid Radio-diagnostics & Clinics. We aim to transform the lives of women, through better healthcare, education and empowerment.
Thus, I dedicate this award to my team, our partners, and every individual who believes in our mission.
I was also thrilled to be part of the powerful anthology Her Story: Taking Root, Sparking Change curated by Stephanie Busari an award-winning CNN journalist.
Stephanie Busari amplified the plight of the Chibok girls and the relatives left behind, on a global stage. I was pleased to see a mother of a still missing girl, at the event. This shows that beyond her investigation, report and awards, the issue remains close to Stephanie Busari heart. Thank you for not forgetting, and reminding us.
Other chapters in the book feature over 40 women change makers, reshaping Africa’s future through leadership, innovation, and resilience.
