Valeria Faccenda: Palliative RT ensured short-term pain control

“In our prospective cohort study, palliative RT ensured short-term pain control, regardless of tumor type and dose fractionation regimen, in patients with BM.

“Finally the results of our experience in managing uncomplicated painful bone metastases (BM) patients.
Pain response (CR+PR):
– 62% at 1 month
– 60% at 3 months.
A multidisciplinary approach is paramount to provide better care to BM patients.”
