Erika Hamilton: A fantastic meeting with our colleagues across Asia at JSMO 2025
Erika Hamilton, Medical Oncologist and the Director of Breast Cancer Program at Sarah Cannon Research Institute, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“JSMO 2025 was held in Kobe, Japan, this year. It was a truly fantastic meeting where I got to interact with our colleagues across Asia in a much more meaningful way.
Thank you to American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), JSMO, and Lynn Schuchter for inviting me.
Highlights included:
A fantastic session on gender equality in oncology led by the amazing Makiko Ono.
An inspiring joint American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) /JSMO session with Lynn Schuchter and Anna Spreafico and our wonderful Japanese colleagues discussing advances in undruggable targets.
A beautiful presidential dinner with native dancers who taught us the dance, and yes, we all were out of our seats dancing across the room!
Learning the ‘heart sign’ for pictures at the ASCO booth Tony Schweizer.
A quick trip to see a local Kobe Shrine!”
