Marianne Sarcich: If you are a man who has had any cancer and had radiation with tattoos for the radiation treatment, this is for you
Marianne Sarcich, the Founder of the breast cancer peer support group “In This Together Philly Wilmington”, posted on LinkedIn:
“This is for you if you are a man who has had any cancer and had radiation with tattoos for the radiation treatment. You could be part of an American Cancer Society campaign. And, if selected for the campaign, you could get a new tattoo by a renowned artist to cover up those radiation tattoos.
Interested? We need you to respond ASAP to Taryn Jones (click here). And we need you to also meet the following criteria.
● Are about a year (or more) in cancer remission (not actively receiving treatment).
● Have one or more radiation therapy tattoos.
● Are open to receiving a new tattoo around the area of their radiation therapy tattoos.
● Are comfortable speaking in front of camera and sharing their story.
● Live in the New York tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT) or an area or accessible to New York by rail (ex. Philadelphia)
● Any race.
● 18 years or older.
Know of somebody? Share this ASAP. And thanks.”
