“Before the consumer frenzy of Black Friday, I propose a more reflective Gray Wednesday where we remember people we lost this year but whom we’re grateful to have known. Grief doesn’t have to go in linear stages. It can stay inside of you and become, paradoxically, a part of life.”

Mark A. Lewis is the Director of Gastrointestinal Oncology at Intermountain Healthcare in Utah, the Co-Chair of adolescent and young adult (AYA) oncology in the SWOG cooperative group, and the Vice President of American Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Support.
