Cristiane Bergerot, Director of the Department of Psycho-Oncology at CETTRO Cancer Research Hospital, shared a post on X about a recent article by her and colleagues, published in The Oncologist:

Cristiane Bergerot is the Director of the Department of Psycho-Oncology at CETTRO Cancer Research Hospital in Brasilia, Brazil. She has been working with cancer patients for almost 15 years as a clinician and as a researcher.
She has over 30 peer-reviewed publications in journals including first-author publications in Cancer, Journal of Immunotherapy for Cancer, British Journal of Urology International and Pscyhooncology.
She has received four merit awards from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Conquer Cancer Foundation and was selected for the SWOG Young Investigator Course.
Sumanta (Monty) Pal, MD, is a medical oncologist and an expert in genitourinary cancers at the City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center in Los Angeles. He serves as the Vice Chair of Academic Affairs, Professor and co-director of the Kidney Cancer Program and leads the Kidney and Bladder Cancer Disease Team at City of Hope. He specialises in kidney, bladder, and prostate cancers.
Linda E. Carlson is the Director of Finance and a member of the Executive Committee at the International Society for Contemplative Research and serves as the President of the Society for Integrative Oncology.
She is a Professor in the Department of Oncology at the University of Calgary, where she holds the Enbridge Research Chair in Psychosocial Oncology. Additionally, she is the Director of Research for the Psychosocial Resources Department at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre.
Dr. Carlson’s research focuses on Psychosocial Oncology, Integrative Oncology, and Mindfulness-Based Cancer Recovery, and her work has been widely published in high-impact journals.
