”Congratulations to Dr. Robert (Bob) Mayer, Dana-Farber, for being selected as this year’s recipient of the Arthur T. Skarin Award (ie Oncologist of the Year Award) from the Massachusetts Society of Clinical Oncologists! His accomplishments could fill a book …

But his most significant impact must be from directing the Dana-Farber/MassGeneral Brigham heme/onc fellowship for more than 30 years (now ably led by Ann LaCasce). He is a tremendous humanist who exemplifies clinical and academic excellence, integrity, and dedication to mentorship.”
