Protecting Cancer Screenings: ASCO Urges Supreme Court Action
American Society of Clinical Oncology shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The Supreme Court of the United States’ will hear Braidwood Management v. Becerra, which involves the Affordable Care Act’s requirement that health plans cover proven preventive screenings without patient cost-sharing.
The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and 33 other patient and medical professional organizations urge the court to protect continued coverage of essential cancer screenings.
The court’s decision to take the case comes after ASCO and others filed an amicus brief urging it to take the case and reverse the decision of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit as to the constitutionality of the provisions relating to preventive services recommended by the United States Preventive Services Task Force.”
