Richard Buka: TPO-RA – Sustained Responses in ITP After Stopping Treatment

Richard Buka, Chair of HaemSTAR, shared a post on X about a paper by Adrien Cottu et al. published in Blood Journal:

“Important study in Blood Journal. Of 48 patients with ITP who achieved full response to TPO-RA for a year, then stopped, half maintained that response at 4 years.

Demonstrates immunomodulatory effects of TPO-RA and supports consideration for stopping rx in patients stable for 1 year.”
