Darío Solís-Sayago: Unleashing the Full Potential of Tissue-Resident NK Cells Through TGF-β1
Darío Solís-Sayago, Research Assistant at IRB Barcelona, shared a post by The Journal of Experimental Medicine on X, adding:
“‘If you want something done right, do it yourself’.
A hitherto poorly-defined subset of tissue resident NK cells have evolved to both produce and respond to TGF-β1, which turns out to be THE cytokine that unleashes their full potential in selected tissues they seed.”
Quoting The Journal of Experimental Medicine’s post:
“Autocrine TGF-β1 drives tissue-specific differentiation and function of resident NK cells, say Colin Sparano, Darío Solís-Sayago, Sonia Tugues, and colleagues.”
