“Local treatments of HCC, 2 recent studies.
1) SBRT vs RFA for recurrent small HCC (single lesion ≤5 cm).
- Local PFS is better with SBRT.
- PFS, OS, safety are not different.
2) SBRT followed bu sorafenib vs. sorafenib alone for locally advanced HCC unsuitable for or refractory to standard local-regional therapies
- mOS: 15.8 vs 12.3 mo.”
Erman Akkus is a medical oncology fellow at the Ankara University, Faculty of Medicine. Previously, he was an Internal Medicine Resident at the Ankara University, Faculty of Medicine. He was also a Visiting Researcher at the University of Oslo. He completed his education from the Medical University of Vienna.
