Three years since WHO designated Sylvester as a Collaborating Centre for Cervical Cancer Elimination
Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center posted on LinkedIn:
“It’s been three years since the World Health Organization (WHO) designated Sylvester as a Collaborating Centre for Cervical Cancer Elimination. We are honored to work alongside the WHO and our global and community partners to develop innovative solutions that help us achieve this shared goal.
Today, we celebrate the anniversary of this partnership, reaffirming our commitment to eliminate cervical cancer. This preventable and curable disease can be eliminated through concrete actions:
• Vaccination: Ensure 90% of girls are fully vaccinated with the HPV vaccine by age 15.
• Screening: Ensure 70% of women are screened with a high-performance test by age 35 and again by age 45.
• Treatment: Ensure 90% of women diagnosed with cervical disease receive appropriate treatment.
Together, we can make history and eliminate cervical cancer for future generations. Learn more.”
