Taking action where its needed – City Cancer Challenge
“In every city we work, real change begins with people coming together, sharing ideas, and envisioning a healthier future. Community and connection breed positive change. Here’s a glimpse into two of our cities in Latin America, where we’ve seen this change come to life during recent milestones.
Rosario: We brought together a group of 110 professionals to evaluate the cancer care needs in the community and set priorities for delivering system-wide change. The resulting gathering, otherwise known as the City Executive Committee meeting, was held where 22 key actions were prioritised to drive healthcare system transformation in Rosario.
Concepción: The recent Stakeholder Mapping and Engagement Workshop brought together 64 participants from 29 institutions, all focused on fostering collaboration for better cancer care. Key goals included bringing together key stakeholders in the healthcare system chain and together creating a strategy for developing and delivering cancer care programmes. This workshop marks the first step toward forming a City Executive Committee and Technical Committees, empowering Concepción’s local leaders to drive positive tangible change.
These steps represent more than just plans. We are taking action where its needed. And building the foundations for long-term impact, created by the very people who know their cities best. Join us in transforming cancer care for all!”
