Ruzanna Papyan Highlights Global Accessibility of Neuroblastoma Treatments at SIOP Annual Congress

“Recognizing the importance of sharing experiences, our specialists consistently participate in key events in the field.
From October 17 to 20, the Annual Congress of the International Society of Paediatric Oncology – SIOP took place in Honolulu, USA.
During the conference, Dr. Ruzanna Papyan, Head of the Pediatric Oncology Department at the Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Armenia, Yeolyan Center, co-chaired several sessions and delivered an oral presentation. The congress drew over 2,000 delegates.
In her presentation, Dr. Papyan addressed the topic of ‘Assessing Global Accessibility and Affordability of Anti-GD2 Monoclonal Antibodies for Neuroblastoma Treatment’, with research data from 98 developed and developing countries.
It is worth noting that SIOP’s mission is to address current challenges in pediatric oncology and improve cancer survival outcomes for children and young people. Today, the organization has over 3,000 members worldwide, including doctors, nurses, healthcare professionals, scientists, and researchers.”

Ruzanna Papyan is a pediatric oncologist and clinical research physician at the Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Armenia, Hematology Center after Prof. Yeolyan. She is also Head of the Musculoskeletal Multidisciplinary Working Group and Assistant Professor at the Department of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology at Yerevan State Medical University.
Dr. Papyan coordinates educational sessions for the Global Neuroblastoma Network and holds the esteemed position of co-chair of the Adolescents and Young Adults Steering Group at the International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP). She is a member of oncology societies, such as AAHO, SOHO, ESMO, ESO, and POEM. Her research interests include soft tissue and bone sarcomas, and neuroblastomas among children and young adults.
