Patrick Hwu: Our annual Board Retreat at Moffitt Cancer Center
“Last week, we hosted our annual Board Retreat at Moffitt Cancer Center.
The retreat started Thursday evening with a reception at our Speros FL campus under development in Pasco County, Florida. Board members had an opportunity to tour the construction sites for our Moffitt Ambulatory Clinic, Proton Therapy Center and Research Innovation Center, and hear from respective leaders about each.
On Friday, board members joined us for a full-day retreat, which included board annual meetings, a strategic update, a panel discussion on clinical trials and the unveiling of our new Ferman Family Mobile Lung Screening Unit!
We ended the day with a fireside chat featuring Senator Connie Mack, James Mule‘ and our Institute Board Chair, Tim Adams. The inspiring discussion explored the history of TIL Therapy at Moffitt, from the vision and the science to the philanthropy that accelerated and bolstered our efforts.
Collaboration and alignment with Moffitt board members is critical to our strategic vision and drives meaningful impact for our patients and the greater community.
Thank you to all of our board members for joining us and for your continued dedication to advancing the prevention and cure of cancer!”
