Shushan Hovsepyan: 84% of accepted abstracts never make it to publication
Shushan Hovsepyan shared on LinkedIn:
“What do you think happens to the abstracts presented at congresses?
The day 4 of the SIOP congress concluded with my oral presentation, where I shared data from the analysis of more than 3,300 abstracts. Imagine 84% of accepted abstracts never make it to publication.
This is a crucial issue – we need to resuscitate the science in pediatric oncology. People should publish, and science must go on. Urgent action is needed!
Thank you, International Society of Paediatric Oncology – SIOP for an excellent congress and the wonderful location in Hawaii. See you all next year in Amsterdam!”
