Lexie shares her inspiring story at the Richi House – Richi Childhood Cancer Foundation
Richi Childhood Cancer Foundation shared the following post on LinkedIn:
“Meet Lexie, the heart and soul of this month’s Faces Of Hope at the Richi House!
From the very beginning, Lexie has been part of the Richi House’s first brain tumor survivors cohort, bringing her humor, determination, and hopeful spirit to each session. She’s often the reason behind those spontaneous bursts of laughter—and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
When asked about what she loves most about the Richi House, Lexie didn’t hesitate: ‘Seeing my friends every month is so impactful. It gives me something to look forward to. Thinking of these questions brought a big smile to my face and made me feel like dancing.’
And if you know Lexie, you know she’s always ready to dance!
One of her favorite memories? The prom night, of course! “I think the prom karaoke and dancing was so much fun!! Music makes everyone feel good!!” she says. She definitely brought the house down when she grabbed the mic and got the party started!
Beyond the fun and friendships, Lexie enjoys unleashing her creative side. She’s got her eye on a new craft idea: ‘I would like to do pearl beads one day. I think they would be fun.’ We can’t wait to see what she creates next!
And let’s not forget Bella, an incredible service dog and one of the Richi House’s favorite furry friends. ‘Bella helps me by making me feel happy. She is good at comforting me when I don’t feel well,’ Lexie shares.
Lexie’s positivity is infectious. As she puts it, ‘Most mornings I wake up and start dancing right away!’ And here at the Richi House, we’re beyond grateful to have her dancing through life with us!”
