“If you are looking for inspiration, here is it. Gloria Chinyere Okwu was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, instead of hiding and covering her face due to stigma.
Gloria is using her pain for the gain of other women in Nigeria. She is overcoming stigma, showing our communities what the pains of cancer is, how women impacted by cancer look after their surgeries and how to cope with the mental distress of loosing a breast to cancer treatment.
In a community filled with cancer stigma, this woman is leading national awareness and campaign on getting Women Impacted by Breast Cancer to come out and share their stories.
Today is her Birthday, please wish the best.”
