Alonzo Mourning: Over the years, men have been taught to just tough it up, tough it out, be a man, suck it up, you’ll be okay, wrap it up, take a pill, whatever you need to do, you know, you’ll be all right. You know, that’s not the approach to take. It’s just really not.
I would take a physical every six months. Through this process, they noticed that my PSA levels were going up.
Sanoj Punnen: It ended up being high-grade cancer, and we were able to see it. And for his, it was just in the area where the MRI picked it up, so very confined to the prostate. Easily could have been missed if he didn’t do his PSA.
Alonzo Mourning: In order for you to overcome these type of health obstacles in your life, you’ve got to have an amazing team, you know. So I had a chance to experience the care at Desai Sethi Urology Institute. They put me on the right path in helping me understand my options.
