From Once Upon A Time to Never Again: Uniting Africa in the Fight Against Breast Cancer
Pink Africa Foundation shared a post on X:
“Once upon a time – Victor Ekpo.
Once upon a time in Africa, women just died from breast cancer randomly, and nobody believed them.
We just knew that they died from something that had to do with their breast and it was a huge problem because breast cancer is really treatable when presented early to the hospital.
So this whole campaign is that when we say once upon a time that it is truly once upon a time, we’re making all efforts and we’re calling on everyone to support us to make sure this once upon a time is a thing of the past.
There’s a poem by Edward Hulk that says, I am one, I am only one. And because I am one, I can do something, but I can’t do everything. The one thing I can do, I must not cease to do, you know.
If all of us once can come together, then we’ll be better than just one. We’re calling on everyone across Africa, join us and let’s fight breast cancer together.”
