Sachin H. Jain: SCAN to be placed No.15 on the Modern Healthcare Best Places to Work
Sachin H. Jain shared a post on LinkedIn:
“If someone from outside of healthcare were to land in our world and see how we make organizational decisions, what might they say?
“If everyone’s accountable, no one is accountable.”
Important observation from Bob Chapek (former CEO of The Walt Disney Company) as he started on his first day at SCAN as a senior advisor to our leadership team.
(And boy do we love our committee-based decision-making in healthcare.)
Some more nuggets of gold from Bob:
-Getting a job at an organization like SCAN should be hard. Very hard. The commitment to serve others day-in, day-out is rare. Not everyone has it. And while you can test for it and sometimes develop it, you should hire for it.
-Every single SCAN rebel (our word for our associates) should feel the mission. Day-in, day-out. No matter the role, everyone contributes to making the magic. Everyone.
-“You have an amazing team!”
I couldn’t agree more!
Especially as we announce today that we placed No.15 on the Modern Healthcare Best Places to Work and we were the second highest rated health plan on the survey (second only to my friend Pam Kehaly at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona).
