The Institute of Cancer and Crisis (ICC) shared a post on Linkedin:
” Radiotherapy remains a vital cancer treatment, but global access is limited, especially in low- and middle-income countries. With over 50% of patients in these regions needing radiotherapy, there’s an urgent need for global investment and standards to improve access and outcomes.
This includes developing better infrastructure, aligning healthcare resources with patient needs, and ensuring the availability of essential radioisotopes for theranostics.
