“Reducing Cancer Disparities: Focus on Psycho-Oncology.
During the Beacon Cancer Care Meeting in Warsaw, Roberto Grasso, a psycho-oncologist from the European Institute of Oncology, discussed the critical need to address disparities in psycho-oncological support across Europe.
The Beacon project aims to reduce these disparities by enhancing access to mental health resources, especially in regions where psycho-oncological care is currently underdeveloped. Grasso emphasized the importance of collaboration between clinicians, policymakers, and researchers to ensure comprehensive support for all cancer patients.”
