Ashok Palaniappan is an Associate Professor at Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology, and Research Academy, where he previously served as a Senior Assistant Professor in Bioinformatics. Before that, he held the position of Senior Assistant Professor in Biotechnology at Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering. His research focuses on computational medicine and metabolic engineering.

This Special Collection calls for contributions that advance software as medical device applications for the screening, early detection, differential diagnosis, prognosis and improved clinical management of cancers.
